The Health Care Debate; The Pedophile Argument

By Peter Lee
EastSide TeaParty

Since the Health Care bill was introduced many have been debating portions of the bill saying they agree or disagree with sections of the bill. We have had debates about “death panels”, rationing, pre-existing conditions, abortion, and a laundry list of other issues related to this bill.

Reasonable people can agree and disagree with particular line items in any complex piece of legislation however, we must continue to look at the bigger picture which is easier to articulate.

McCain Calls Obama a ‘Patriot,’ Rejects Critics Who Say He’s ‘Unworthy’ to Lead

McCain is baffling, to say the least. How he can overlook all that has happened over the past two years and make the claim that Obama is working to “advance our country’s cause” is proof positive that there should be a mandatory retirement age in Congress.

Obama represents an unsustainable big government, entitlement society where the citizens are dependent on the federal government. McCain seems to be confused as to what our country’s cause is. Either that, or he sees value in the ‘progressive’ agenda of the far left.

Florida Right-Wingers Predictably Spew Nonsense In Response to Giffords Shooting

By Tom Tillison

With emotions running high over the tragedy in Arizona and all the discussion of how this event is being played out in the media, I thought it would be interesting to see what our friends on the other side of the aisle have to say about it.

Checking in with the Florida Progressive Coalition Blog, an appropriate measuring stick, I find a blog focusing on the tweets of a handful of “right wingers” in the aftermath of the shooting.

As the title suggests, not exactly a ‘fair and balanced’ analysis by a long shot…

Political Discourse And The Arizona Shooting

Political Discourse And The Arizona Shooting

By Tom Tillison

So, yes, you’re damn right the political discourse in this country is dangerously high.

It’s dangerously high because conservatives have grown weary of all the lies and half truths, the never ending play on words, the double standard in the media, where the burden of proof exists only on the right, and having to endure most of the above from the most partisan President in our lifetime.

The Arizona Blame Game

The Arizona Blame Game

By Matthew Falconer

The tragic events in Arizona this weekend have unleashed a barrage of attacks on conservatives in America. The New York Times and other liberal media outlets have suggested the “vitriolic” rhetoric of conservatives incited the mentally imbalanced attacker to shoot a Democratic Congresswomen.

But in the hours after the attack it became clear the shooter was not a tea party follower or a conservative. In fact he was and is a liberal democratic socialist.

US Passport Applications Now Gender Neutral

US Passport Applications Now Gender Neutral

Editor’s Note – Another example of political correctness run amok. All in the name of advancing the liberal agenda and further diminishing the value of the traditional family in America.

This is also the same type of mentality that led to 13 people being murdered in Ft. Hood, Texas.

Elections have consequences, one being that we are subjected to decisions such as this. With the election of Obama, our government is now infested with far left, extreme radicals at every level.

Senate Democrats Channeling Woodrow Wilson In Upcoming Power Grab

Senate Democrats Channeling Woodrow Wilson In Upcoming Power Grab

We have heard the old adage that if we forget the past, history will repeat itself.

What we are witnessing today is a power grab to advance an ideology, pure and simple. A power grab by an arrogant, condescending group of individuals who do not wish to be restrained by the confines put in place by our Founding Fathers.

Individuals who feel they are superior to the greatest collection of minds in the history of human kind.

Senate votes 65-31 To Repeal Ban On Military Gays Serving Openly

Editor’s Note – So what if the majority of those who actually do the fighting AND dying for our country oppose this. They should just keep quiet and bleed, after all, the elite Progressive Left, with their intellectual superiority, knows what’s best for all of us.

As for the eight Republican Senator’s who voted in favor of this measure, I submit again is there really much difference between a Democrat and a Progressive Republican?

The Fork In The Road For The Tea Party

The Fork In The Road For The Tea Party

By Matthew Falconer

With the November elections in the books and a new more conservative Congress to be sworn in, the “tea party” movement has two paths it can follow;

One is to stand behind big spending Republicans to help defeat big spending Democrats and the other is to support fiscally conservative Republicans defeat big spending Republicans in primaries.

The lesser of two evils approach has won in the past but the future is up for debate.

Dave Ramsey: “I’m Tired of These Thieves in Congress”

Dave Ramsey: “I’m Tired of These Thieves in Congress”

Perhaps we are past the time for political correctness. It’s time to call a thief a thief, and what better analogy is there to describe this current Congress.

Dave Ramsey tells Neil Cavuto why Sen. Richard Durbin’s comment that the wealthiest people in America don’t deserve a tax break is an absurd statement.

Commenting on Durbin’s statement, Ramsey said, “I think he’s a thief and I’m tired of these theives in Congress. I think they’re stealing and they’re using the government to do it.”

War On Women Can Be Fought At The Polls

By Kim Carroll

Women have the power. They take their right to vote seriously and show up at the polls in greater numbers than men according to the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University.

In 2008, 60.4 percent of eligible female voters cast their vote versus 55.7% of eligible males. According to the same study, more women are registered to vote than men, 66.6 million versus 63.5 million. Maybe that’s why the “War on Women” has taken a front seat in this election…

The Interest Bomb Is Ticking

By: George Noga

This post kicks off a three-part series about the crisis of spending, debt and deficits.

The next part deals with the interval between now and the inevitable arrival of the Minsky Moment, i.e. the unknown and unknowable time when an unsustainable economic phenomenon suddenly collapses.

The third post will address Gotterdammerung, or what happens after the Minsky Moment.

Is Mack Campaign Getting Desperate?

By Tom Tillison

It’s a fair guess that Connie Mack has seen some recent polling that has gotten his attention.

As the week closed out, the rhetoric coming from the Mack campaign took on a rather fervent pitch. In a press release sent out Thursday, it made the claim that opponent George LeMieux has “endorsed raising Florida’s sales tax to a nation-leading 16 percent.”

Obama’s IPAB Death Panels Limit More Than Just Health Care Access

By L. Persona

Florida Democrats believe they can win a few Republican seats in Congress and are preparing a major offensive against several Republicans facing tough challenges this year. They believe that redistricting gives them a chance to offset the seats they are sure to give up.

However, the Democrats still fail to realize the albatross that ObamaCare places on their party’s efforts…

A Black Guy At The Dallas, TX Tea Party Rally

By Lloyd Marcus

A big well dressed black guy attended the Dallas, TX tea party rally with his white buddy. Both men missed my singing performance on stage minutes earlier.

I asked the black gentleman who had an impressive physique how often he worked out. He replied, “Everyday.” His white buddy said with a chuckle, “He thinks the Tea Party is racist.”
