Thad Altman Introduces Legislation Pushing HPV Vaccine

By Tom Tillison

Either state Senator Thad Altman is completely out of touch with conservative values or he just believes that government really does knows best what’s good for you.

Sen. Altman has filed legislation that would urge parents to give young girls HPV vaccines upon entering the sixth grade. Yes, the very same vaccine that GOP presidential candidate Rick Perry came under fire for a few weeks back for being a good example of government overreach in healthcare decisions.

The Last Incarnation Of Barack Obama

The Last Incarnation Of Barack Obama

The Heritage Foundation

If there was any doubt where President Barack Obama’s ideological heart lies, yesterday he let it be known loud and clear in a wide-ranging speech in Osawatomie, Kansas.

President Obama is at his core a dyed-in-the-wool progressive who sees the federal government as the answer to all of America’s problems…

Tea Party Activists Infiltrate Occupy DC – Video

Florida Political Press

This video has nearly 100,000 views now.

Three tea party activists and former protest warriors infiltrated Occupy DC where they endured violent threats by far left extremists. You’ll notice that the radicals did not care to discuss the issues, they just were insulting, rude and threatening…

Teresa Jacobs Report Card

Teresa Jacobs Report Card

By Matthew Falconer

The Republican wave in the 2010 election swept Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs into office by a large margin over Democrat Bill Segal. Jacobs received a huge lift from the glowing articles from the liberal Orlando Sentinel who wrote over 50 articles on the race.

After six months in office her policies are now clear and she is on record for what she stands for…

“Chump of the Week”

By Matthew Falconer

I am so proud. The Orlando Sentinel called me the “chump of the week.” This is a badge of honor for conservatives.

For the record, I am not a “rail hater.” If a private company wanted to invest in a rail system I will stand for their rights. But Sun Rail will cost (lose) nearly $3 billion over the next 30 years and…

All-Time Media Hall Of Shame

By George Noga

If you are like most, you assume when news happens, the editor or producer impartially assigns the story to a reporter who (hopefully) has some knowledge of the subject matter.

The reporter objectively covers the story and reports the facts. The editor, also objectively, questions the reporter, fact checks and edits. The end result, even if flawed, represents a good faith attempt to report the news.

George Lemieux, Progressive or Conservative

By Matthew Falconer

This week George Lemieux came out swinging at his two major challengers for the Republican nomination for United States Senate saying he is “the most conservative of the three.”

But many conservatives in Florida think Lemieux is a “progressive” Republican because of his stance on issues.

Bill Nelson ‘You’re Fired’

Bill Nelson ‘You’re Fired’

By Matthew Falconer

Democrat Bill Nelson is the definition of a career politician. Nelson became a lawyer in 1970 and almost immediately became a politician winning a seat in the Florida House in 1972. As a lawyer and a career politician Nelson understands money and power; your money and his power.

When Nelson was elected to the United States Congress in 1978 the national debt our children owe was a mere $771 billion…

The American People Can’t Afford To Lose Wisconsin Union Showdown

The American People Can’t Afford To Lose Wisconsin Union Showdown

Issues as important as public sector compensation, bulging state deficits, union power, federalism, education, federal entitlements as well as others are being fought over.

That Wisconsin is the birthplace of American progressivism with a new conservative governor, new conservative majorities in both chambers, a new conservative U.S. senator and the bright new conservative chairman of the House Budget Committee, Paul Ryan, has made it ground zero for the left.

The Tea Party, Sound Economic Policy Is Its Goal

By Matthew Falconer

When describing the 1200 people who took their time to attend Rick Scott’s budget presentation on Monday, Orlando Sentinel columnist Lauren Ritchie said “there wasn’t two thimbles full of independent thought.”

She basically was saying the tea party is a group of mindless clones which was insulting to me because I was there. And the people at the event are among the best informed people on economic and policy issues anywhere…

Justice Ginsburg Violates Her Oath

Justice Ginsburg Violates Her Oath

By KrisAnne Hall

Our founders deliberately did not establish a democracy, because in that form of government, the majority would always choke to death the desire for Liberty of a minority. Yet another point that Mrs. Ginsberg might be wise to share with Egypt instead of encouraging them to strive “to achieve a general democracy…”

The dichotomy of her praise and criticism of our founders and our Constitution shows that she is greatly misinformed of both…

Decision 2012, What Does It All Mean?

By Allen Wilson

Good bye Presidential hoopla we’ll see you in August.

But for now, let’s turn our thoughts to more pressing problems for Florida and the nation. Fasten your seat belts folks; it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

This won’t be a Tea Party vs the Establishment event, that’s just so 2010. No, this is a showcase for Agenders, Fair Taxers, Occupiers (well they don’t really vote do they”), and GOOOH’ers…

Tired Of Political Elitists Picking Our Candidates?

By Rick Steeby

I am not a fan of this two-party system where your personal beliefs have to be compromised to one party platform or the other based on the lesser of two evils.

I am reminded of my own words of how Congress has become entrenched and regardless of party they are more concerned with the power and the prestige of office then in service to their country.

Romney Wins, What’s Next?

By Tom Tillison

So after three years of toil by thousands of average everyday citizens who’ve sacrificed far more than they ever cared to, Florida supports John McCain yet again, just in a prettier package.

And just as in 2008, Florida will be the impetus that thrusts this better wrapped version identified as Mitt Romney one step closer to an eventual match up with Barack Obama.

There will be plenty of coverage breaking down the final numbers…

Clouds On A Sunny Day

By Allen Wilson

I remember the instant that the mood changed.

As my lens focused beyond the Washington Monument and upon the Capital Dome I recognized that I no longer felt proud of this city. I was embarrassed that under that dome sat men and women who first thought of themselves before they thought of their nation.
