A contingent of tea party activists from Orlando were off to the races yesterday… literally!
Amidst all the talk from the ‘chattering class’ in the media of the tea party being dead, nearly two dozen members from the Orlando area made the trek over to Daytona International Speedway as volunteers for the American Majority Racing Team.

Wounded Warriors Outdoors is holding it’s 2012 “Cocktails For a Cause” fundraiser this Thursday evening from 5:30PM – 8:00 PM.
All proceeds will benefit WWO, who’s mission is helping recently wounded warriors navigate their healing journey. WWO is a completely volunteer charity with no paid staff or needless overhead, assuring that donations benefit our most deserving wounded warriors.

President Obama is coming to Orlando next week, just in time to party with the uber-rich in town for the NBA All-Star weekend.
Obama will be attending a $30,000 per person fundraiser being held at the mega-mansion of NBA player Vince Carter in Windermere next Thursday. Photos below the fold.
Attorney John Morgan is also hosting the event “with NBA hall of famers and future hall of famers and some musical superstars” expected to be in attendance.

Imam Marcus Dwayne Robertson is a convicted violent felon who sold out his Muslim partners in crime for a reduced sentence in 1994-95. Robertson is now pleading guilty to a felony gun charge that any good lawyer could have easily gotten him an acquittal in a full trial.
Nothing seems to add up in this case as to why Orlando’s favorite felon Imam would plead not guilty and then suddenly plead guilty to a felonious gun charge that could net him 10 years in prison

James Hill, who has been arrested twice at the Occupy encampment at Senator Beth Johnson Park by Orlando police, is the ‘James’ referred to in the ‘tweet’.

Women have the power. They take their right to vote seriously and show up at the polls in greater numbers than men according to the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University.
In 2008, 60.4 percent of eligible female voters cast their vote versus 55.7% of eligible males. According to the same study, more women are registered to vote than men, 66.6 million versus 63.5 million. Maybe that’s why the “War on Women” has taken a front seat in this election…

It’s a fair guess that Connie Mack has seen some recent polling that has gotten his attention.
As the week closed out, the rhetoric coming from the Mack campaign took on a rather fervent pitch. In a press release sent out Thursday, it made the claim that opponent George LeMieux has “endorsed raising Florida’s sales tax to a nation-leading 16 percent.”

A big well dressed black guy attended the Dallas, TX tea party rally with his white buddy. Both men missed my singing performance on stage minutes earlier.
I asked the black gentleman who had an impressive physique how often he worked out. He replied, “Everyday.” His white buddy said with a chuckle, “He thinks the Tea Party is racist.”
