The Mess In MetroWest

The Mess In MetroWest

By Matthew Falconer

In 1995 I moved my family to the “MetroWest” area of Orlando. MetroWest was and is a beautiful planned community with over 1800 acres and great views of the golf course.

Over 10,000 people live in MetroWest in communities ranging from apartments, to town-homes to gated communities. The mismanagement of this community has hurt its reputation and wasted hundreds of thousands of residents’ dollars…

Orlando Imam Pleads Guilty To Felony Gun Charge

By Alan Kornman

Imam Marcus Dwayne Robertson is a convicted violent felon who sold out his Muslim partners in crime for a reduced sentence in 1994-95. Robertson is now pleading guilty to a felony gun charge that any good lawyer could have easily gotten him an acquittal in a full trial.

Nothing seems to add up in this case as to why Orlando’s favorite felon Imam would plead not guilty and then suddenly plead guilty to a felonious gun charge that could net him 10 years in prison

Twice Arrested Occupy Orlando Protestor Given Parking Privileges By City Of Orlando?

By Tom Tillison

Is this yet another example of the City of Orlando extending preferential treatment to the Occupy Orlando group?

As seen in the image below, an Occupy Orlando protestor is boasting on Twitter about having received a ‘press parking pass’, which are issued by the city. James Hill, who has been arrested twice at the Occupy encampment at Senator Beth Johnson Park by Orlando police, is the ‘James’ referred to in the ‘tweet’.

Does Occupy Orlando Have A Hold Over Buddy Dyer?

Does Occupy Orlando Have A Hold Over Buddy Dyer?

By Tom Tillison

The Orlando police had given the Occupy Orlando group entrenched at Sen. Beth Johnson Park a notice on Friday to remove their personal property from the location by 12:01am Monday or it would be forcibly removed.

The protestors have been using the small strip of land between the sidewalk and the street to store their belongings as the park itself must be cleared each night at 11:00pm. If anyone has driven by the location on S. Ivanhoe Blvd, it’s indisputable what an eyesore this has become, making the park look like a low rent flea market…

Friends For Herman Cain Waste Little Time Getting Active In Orange County

By Tom Tillison

Orange County ‘Friends for Herman Cain’ wasted little time taking Herman’s message to the streets.

Supporters engaged in a ‘honk-n-wave’ yesterday afternoon at the busy corner of Sand Lake Rd and Turkey Lake Rd. There was even a Herman Cain lookalike!

Based on the reception by motorists, Cain is certainly a popular choice for many!

Progressive Left Making Their Presence Felt At ‘Occupy Orlando’

By Tom Tillison

Well that only took two weeks…

Organize Now, a far left progressive organization widely seen as the spin off of the now defunct ACORN-FL is now openly aligning itself with Occupy Orlando.

On it’s web site, it is now calling on it’s members to “stand in solidarity” with the protestors ‘occupying’ Sen Beth Johnson Park in Orlando.

Local Tea Party All Grown Up?

By Tom Tillison

It seems that some local tea party activists have elevated themselves to another level in the political process.

According to a flyer obtained by FPP, a fund raiser is being held tonight at the Downtown Sheraton by a newly formed non profit organization called the Liberty Restoration Foundation, Inc. In a bit of irony, this is the same location where Obama held a campaign fund raiser event two weeks ago.

‘Occupy Orlando’ Radical Element Prevails With Last Night’s Arrests

By Tom Tillison

Twenty Two ‘Occupy Orlando’ protestors were arrested last night after refusing to leave Sen. Beth Johnson Park at 11:00PM when the park closed.

As one who has been closely followed the Occupy Orlando effort, I can say that only the timing of this development caught me by surprise – it was inevitable.

And what a lucky coincident that the local media was on hand to capture it on film!

Justice Ginsburg Violates Her Oath

Justice Ginsburg Violates Her Oath

By KrisAnne Hall

Our founders deliberately did not establish a democracy, because in that form of government, the majority would always choke to death the desire for Liberty of a minority. Yet another point that Mrs. Ginsberg might be wise to share with Egypt instead of encouraging them to strive “to achieve a general democracy…”

The dichotomy of her praise and criticism of our founders and our Constitution shows that she is greatly misinformed of both…

Decision 2012, What Does It All Mean?

By Allen Wilson

Good bye Presidential hoopla we’ll see you in August.

But for now, let’s turn our thoughts to more pressing problems for Florida and the nation. Fasten your seat belts folks; it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

This won’t be a Tea Party vs the Establishment event, that’s just so 2010. No, this is a showcase for Agenders, Fair Taxers, Occupiers (well they don’t really vote do they”), and GOOOH’ers…

Tired Of Political Elitists Picking Our Candidates?

By Rick Steeby

I am not a fan of this two-party system where your personal beliefs have to be compromised to one party platform or the other based on the lesser of two evils.

I am reminded of my own words of how Congress has become entrenched and regardless of party they are more concerned with the power and the prestige of office then in service to their country.

Romney Wins, What’s Next?

By Tom Tillison

So after three years of toil by thousands of average everyday citizens who’ve sacrificed far more than they ever cared to, Florida supports John McCain yet again, just in a prettier package.

And just as in 2008, Florida will be the impetus that thrusts this better wrapped version identified as Mitt Romney one step closer to an eventual match up with Barack Obama.

There will be plenty of coverage breaking down the final numbers…

Clouds On A Sunny Day

By Allen Wilson

I remember the instant that the mood changed.

As my lens focused beyond the Washington Monument and upon the Capital Dome I recognized that I no longer felt proud of this city. I was embarrassed that under that dome sat men and women who first thought of themselves before they thought of their nation.
