Is The Tea Party Really Diminishing?

By Tom Tillison

As a purveyor of political news, I follow multiple news sources from around the country and in doing so, trends in the media are usually not that difficult to pick up on.

When considering the tea party influenced results of the 2010 election and the critical importance of the 2012 election on the future direction of this country, it’s becoming more and more apparent that the media is invested in long range strategy to prevent a repeat of what took place two years ago.

Media Driving Narrative Of Inevitable Romney Win In South Carolina

Do you feel as if you’re seeing a story unfold where you already know the end, yet, it seems you’re the only one that has read the book?

A Reuters/Ipsos poll was released yesterday that showed Mitt Romney with a 21 pt lead over the rest of the field.

Defining Tea Party Success In Iowa And Beyond

By Tom Tillison

With the Iowa Caucus about to begin, we are just hours away from the official launch of the critically important 2012 presidential electoral process.

About the only thing that is certain at this point is that the Iowa results, whatever they may be, will be spun six ways to Sunday by the campaigns, their supporters and the talking heads in the media…

Explaining Rick Scott’s Poll Numbers

Explaining Rick Scott’s Poll Numbers

By Matthew Falconer

The fact Florida Governor Rick Scott is struggling with low poll numbers should come as no surprise to anyone who reads major newspapers in Florida.

Liberal columnists like the Orlando Sentinel’s Scott Maxwell have called him a “liar” and use most of their ink to criticize the efforts of the new Governor. These same “experts” suggested Obama needed “more time”…

The Train Ends Here, Exit Right

By Francisco Gonzalez

When I initially supported Herman Cain – prior to the Presidency 5 straw poll in Orlando – I didn’t think he’d win the straw poll or even the Presidency. That’s not why I supported him. I supported him because of what he represented: a political outsider who had never held public office and who could effectively – and unapologetically – articulate conservative principles at a time when the status quo in Washington needs a serious revision.

On top of that he seemed to me to be a very moral person, a business leader with executive experience (he’s actually signed the front of a paycheck before), and as a black conservative, he also held hope to take the race issue off the table…

The Line For Tickets To Success

By George Noga

If all you ever read or watch is the traditional media that presents counter-factual and grotesquely distorted advocacy journalism disguised as news, you would believe in America: (1) income distribution is becoming less equal; (2) there is no income mobility; and (3) the rich are getting richer while the poor are getting poorer.

Not one of these shibboleths is true.

Attacks On Herman Cain Are Bothersome

Attacks On Herman Cain Are Bothersome

By Ron McCoy

The recent attacks on Herman Cain are something we should all be paying attention to and raises more questions about the media, DC, and the political “machine” than it answers.

Personally, I am sick of hearing about the whole story and feel it serves no purpose other than to cast doubt in the minds of voters and line the pockets of the media…

Herman Cain, Craig Miller Share Many Similarities, Including Media Bias

By Tom Tillison

The fact that Cain is a non-politician with a strong business acumen and is not beholden to special interests and partisan politics may very well be his strongest appeal to the folks.

When I look at the U.S. Senate race here in Florida, I can’t help but see many similarities with the presidential primary. The media in this state seems to be focused on the two candidates who are products of the political class…

If You’re Taking Flak, You Must Be Over The Target

By Roger Whidden

There is a tactic in war and politics to identify and concentrate fire against your most immediate threat.

Following his stunning victory in last month’s Florida Straw Poll, Herman Cain did not slow down. The Cain Train picked up steam, picked up several more straw poll victories, picked up a bag full of points in state and national polls…

Bill O’Reilly And The Pundits Are Clueless

Bill O’Reilly And The Pundits Are Clueless

By Ron McCoy

After watching Herman Cain destroy his competition in the Florida straw poll recently, I started paying close attention to the media to see how they would diminish the result.

Like Bill O’Reilly, most in the media are way off the mark when it comes to evaluating Mr. Cain’s chances. As far as I am concerned, they are in denial whether intentional or not. I think maybe someone like Bill just doesn’t talk daily with people like the rest of us…

Justice Ginsburg Violates Her Oath

Justice Ginsburg Violates Her Oath

By KrisAnne Hall

Our founders deliberately did not establish a democracy, because in that form of government, the majority would always choke to death the desire for Liberty of a minority. Yet another point that Mrs. Ginsberg might be wise to share with Egypt instead of encouraging them to strive “to achieve a general democracy…”

The dichotomy of her praise and criticism of our founders and our Constitution shows that she is greatly misinformed of both…

Decision 2012, What Does It All Mean?

By Allen Wilson

Good bye Presidential hoopla we’ll see you in August.

But for now, let’s turn our thoughts to more pressing problems for Florida and the nation. Fasten your seat belts folks; it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

This won’t be a Tea Party vs the Establishment event, that’s just so 2010. No, this is a showcase for Agenders, Fair Taxers, Occupiers (well they don’t really vote do they”), and GOOOH’ers…

Tired Of Political Elitists Picking Our Candidates?

By Rick Steeby

I am not a fan of this two-party system where your personal beliefs have to be compromised to one party platform or the other based on the lesser of two evils.

I am reminded of my own words of how Congress has become entrenched and regardless of party they are more concerned with the power and the prestige of office then in service to their country.

Romney Wins, What’s Next?

By Tom Tillison

So after three years of toil by thousands of average everyday citizens who’ve sacrificed far more than they ever cared to, Florida supports John McCain yet again, just in a prettier package.

And just as in 2008, Florida will be the impetus that thrusts this better wrapped version identified as Mitt Romney one step closer to an eventual match up with Barack Obama.

There will be plenty of coverage breaking down the final numbers…

Clouds On A Sunny Day

By Allen Wilson

I remember the instant that the mood changed.

As my lens focused beyond the Washington Monument and upon the Capital Dome I recognized that I no longer felt proud of this city. I was embarrassed that under that dome sat men and women who first thought of themselves before they thought of their nation.
