You are walking in the woods and find a box containing a pair of athletic shoes made in China (miraculously in your size) with a note stating the Chinese people are pleased to donate this to whoever finds it.
Do you take the shoes and consider yourself lucky? Or, do you question the donor’s motives and consternate over the effect your good fortune may have on domestic manufacturers, international trade and foreign exchange rates and refuse to accept the gift?

This is not the genuine jobs picture. This is just one tiny slice of the jobs picture.
The total employment level since Obama has entered office has increased from 140,436,000 to 140,681,000, or a total of 245,000 jobs, or a 0.17% increase, or an annual rate increase of 0.05%, well below the population growth rate.
Helga is the proprietor of a bar. She realizes that virtually all of her customers are unemployed alcoholics and, as such, can no longer afford to patronize her bar.
To solve this problem, she comes up with a new marketing plan that allows her customers to drink now, but pay later.

Speaking last night from the U.S. Capitol, President Barack Obama described the state of the Union as he sees it — strong and getting stronger, with future growth fueled by his pursuit of progressive policies and an expansion of government, all architected to bring about his brand of “fairness.”
The President essentially redelivered his 2011 State of the Union address — complete with the same empty rhetoric, class warfare cloaked in “fairness,” and proposals for massive tax and spending increases.

As Barack Obama prepares for another speech we the people already know the state of our union. We know it from talking with our friends and neighbors about their struggles to find work and keep their businesses alive. Florida taxpayers are in a “survival mode” and have been since the day Obama took office.

In the original inception countries were suppose to keep debt under 60% of GDP and no more than 3% per year. The PIIGS simply could not control themselves and loaded up on debt.
People need to understand that politicians are just as greedy as capitalist. When you put a pile of money in front of them they will consume the money to buy votes and pay off constituents.

The Iranian government has over committed itself with expenditures and is printing money to fill the deficit, which it cannot finance like the USA at 0.008% interest rates, and must try to create tension to drive up the price of its main export, oil.

I remember the instant that the mood changed.
As my lens focused beyond the Washington Monument and upon the Capital Dome I recognized that I no longer felt proud of this city. I was embarrassed that under that dome sat men and women who first thought of themselves before they thought of their nation.
