Grayson won a seat in Congress in 2008 swept into office by the “Obama wave” and he hopes that wave will once again put him in power. Congressional redistricting may change the district Grayson lives in but odds are he will once again be matched up against Dan Webster.

It’s worth noting that these are the same people that often accuse the tea party of being controlled by “corporate masters”, yet their very own efforts are a lesson in top down functionality.

Interestingly, Nelson references right wing extremists or extremism four times in the email, including in the title, yet does not once use the term tea party. A little odd when you consider that every media outlet on the planet, save for Fox News, regularly uses the two terms interchangably.

I remember the instant that the mood changed.
As my lens focused beyond the Washington Monument and upon the Capital Dome I recognized that I no longer felt proud of this city. I was embarrassed that under that dome sat men and women who first thought of themselves before they thought of their nation.
