Video; Marco Rubio Acceptance Speech

What an incredible message this man has…an inspiration to us all. A message that gives you hope for America, that helps you recall a better time in this country, when we stood for so much more. We listen and we hope…

More than anything, we hope Marco Rubio remembers his own message as he goes to Washington, D.C. We hope his father serves as a constant reminder to keep him focused on the values that we, the people uphold. Rubio now has the challenge of living up to these high expectations, yet, should he triumph, the future will indeed be very bright for this son of an exile.

Most Voters Think House GOP Likely To Disappoint By 2012

Hold the celebration. Most voters expected Republicans to win control of the House of Representatives on Election Day, but nearly as many expect to be disappointed with how they perform by the time the 2012 elections roll around.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds, in fact, that 59% of Likely U.S. Voters think it is at least somewhat likely that most voters will be disappointed with Republicans in Congress before the next national elections. That includes 38% who say it is Very Likely.

Scott Rasmussen sounded the alarm in a column in the Wall Street Journal this week, noting that Democrats lost because they ignored the warning signs from voters on issues like spending and health care. Republicans, he explained, are well-advised not to make that same mistake.

Palm Beach Again Holds Up An Election, Scott Confident

The closest governor’s race in Florida history lurched into Wednesday with Republican Rick Scott holding what appears to be a 72,000-vote lead, but Democrat Alex Sink continued to cling to prospects of a comeback fueled by results still outstanding in a county flush with Democrats.

As Floridians went to bed Tuesday not knowing who won, attention turned to Palm Beach County, once again ground zero for an election snafu.

Scott, appeared briefly before a crowd of a few hundred at a Fort Lauderdale waterfront hotel shortly before 2:30 a.m.

“I am absolutely confident I will be the next great governor of the state of Florida,” Scott told the crowd, which had been feasting on a free buffet and open bar through the night in anticipation of hailing their next governor.

With all the problems facing Central Floridians, much of it ushered in by his own voting record, Alan Grayson’s primary goal last night was to be able to tell Glen Beck to “stick it”. Fortunately for the residents of FL-D8, Grayson did not meet that goal.

Fox News ratings king Bill O’Reilly was quick to celebrate that fact, referring to Grayson as that “pinhead…from Orlando”, and later called him a “clown”.

Last-Minute Spike Boosting Rick Scott, Poll Shows

As the last voters make their way to voting booths Tuesday, a Sunshine State News Poll of the previously tick-tight gubernatorial race shows Rick Scott leading Alex Sink in pull-away fashion, 49-45 among likely voters, and 50-44 among those with an “excellent” chance of voting.\

The statewide poll of 1,526 likely voters was conducted Oct. 31 – Nov. 1.

Jim Lee, president of Voter Survey Service of Harrisburg, Pa., which conducts all Sunshine State News Polls, explained Tuesday morning that even though “Scott has to be considered the favorite,” Sink is “still in with a chance.”

Central Florida, Republicans Will Decide Who Sits In The Governor’s Seat

With Republicans set to make significant strides tomorrow here in Florida, with all other state cabinet level candidates comfortably ahead in the polls, the governor’s race is still very much in play.

It will certainly be a bittersweet day for conservatives, except for those who hail from the backrooms of Tallahassee, if tomorrow’s victories do not include Rick Scott for Governor.

And, according to the polls, we’ll only need to look within our own ranks for the reason why…

We have met the enemy and it is us…?

Early Voting Is Over In Florida, Dems Still Trail Badly

Editor’s Note – Encouraging news for the conservative minded…

Nonetheless, the election is NOT over. There are still millions of votes to be cast throughout the state tomorrow. If you did not participate in early voting, it’s imperitive that you make it to the polls.

Just as Florida has been on the cutting edge of the tea party movement around the country, so too does it have the opportunity to send a resounding message to Washington, D.C. A message that says we cast aside the failed tax and spend big government liberal agenda of Barack Obama and the Progressive Left.

That is, IF you decide to vote.

BREAKING: Significant Election Complaint Filed in Nevada

Here’s a prediction; We’ll see a very tight race in Nevada, it very well may take days to get final results. Almost assuredly, there’ll be a recount, with Reid eventually winning by a razor thin margin. All throughout the process, there will be multiple complaints of voter irregularities, all of which will fall to the wayside as America begins to focus on the upcoming holiday season.

And, when all is said and done, somewhere in the back rooms of Washington, D.C., newly re-elected Senator Harry Reid and Senator Stuart Smalley (Minnesota) will raise a glass in toast to another successful heist…

War On Women Can Be Fought At The Polls

By Kim Carroll

Women have the power. They take their right to vote seriously and show up at the polls in greater numbers than men according to the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University.

In 2008, 60.4 percent of eligible female voters cast their vote versus 55.7% of eligible males. According to the same study, more women are registered to vote than men, 66.6 million versus 63.5 million. Maybe that’s why the “War on Women” has taken a front seat in this election…

The Interest Bomb Is Ticking

By: George Noga

This post kicks off a three-part series about the crisis of spending, debt and deficits.

The next part deals with the interval between now and the inevitable arrival of the Minsky Moment, i.e. the unknown and unknowable time when an unsustainable economic phenomenon suddenly collapses.

The third post will address Gotterdammerung, or what happens after the Minsky Moment.

Is Mack Campaign Getting Desperate?

By Tom Tillison

It’s a fair guess that Connie Mack has seen some recent polling that has gotten his attention.

As the week closed out, the rhetoric coming from the Mack campaign took on a rather fervent pitch. In a press release sent out Thursday, it made the claim that opponent George LeMieux has “endorsed raising Florida’s sales tax to a nation-leading 16 percent.”

Obama’s IPAB Death Panels Limit More Than Just Health Care Access

By L. Persona

Florida Democrats believe they can win a few Republican seats in Congress and are preparing a major offensive against several Republicans facing tough challenges this year. They believe that redistricting gives them a chance to offset the seats they are sure to give up.

However, the Democrats still fail to realize the albatross that ObamaCare places on their party’s efforts…

A Black Guy At The Dallas, TX Tea Party Rally

By Lloyd Marcus

A big well dressed black guy attended the Dallas, TX tea party rally with his white buddy. Both men missed my singing performance on stage minutes earlier.

I asked the black gentleman who had an impressive physique how often he worked out. He replied, “Everyday.” His white buddy said with a chuckle, “He thinks the Tea Party is racist.”
