Clown Proofing Free Speech

Clown Proofing Free Speech

I have no intention of giving up my freedom of speech. Or my opinions. I also will not give up my right to keep and bear arms.

By the way, I will not be converting to Islam, either. My religious views are my business. They’re not idiotic authoritarian state business, not some ridiculous foreign law proclamation business, not moronic United Nations resolution business. They are mine and mine alone.

You’re free to talk about your religion, politics, or ideology. That doesn’t mean I have to listen. Do not try to impose your beliefs on me.

Floridians Face Historic Moment In Labarga & Perry Merit Retention Vote

Floridians Face Historic Moment In Labarga & Perry Merit Retention Vote

In a 5-2 decision, Labarga, Perry and three other justices showed utter contempt and disregard for the rights of Floridians to vote on amendments proposed by the legislature, decided on the matter themselves, agreeing with a handful of liberal democrats who campaigned for Obama, that the whole proposal was nothing more than Republicans trying to mislead people.

If this does not constitute bad behavior, disregard for the rule of law and appropriate balance of power between branches, then these things simple don’t exist.

Help Save A Christian School From Bureaucracy

Help Save A Christian School From Bureaucracy

People think the government cares for them. Yet time and time again the small people are shown the door while the government expands.

I want to tell you a story about a small Christian school in Florida that is being shut down by government bureaucracy. I can’t use their name because quite honestly the state will probably retaliate to the truth being shined on their heartless inefficiency if I use names. I know the principal of this school as a personal friend and I will gladly talk to anyone who has questions about this.

Progressives Hope ‘One Nation’ Coalition Can Recapture Grass-Roots Fervor

Progressives Hope ‘One Nation’ Coalition Can Recapture Grass-Roots Fervor

Editor’s Note – One Nation, but don’t expect ‘under God’ to follow anytime soon.

The Progressive Left, which represents about 20% of the total population in America, is understandably concerned. With the success of the tea party movement, even with all the internal bickering, they see their utopia of ‘cradle-to-grave’ government provided entitlements slipping through their hands.

U.S. House Plan Overturning ObamaCare Halfway There

U.S. House Plan Overturning ObamaCare Halfway There

Editor’s Note – Rep. Steve King has been calling for 100% repeal of ObamaCare from the beginning. He is now beginning to get support from the GOP House leadership, however, without the people of this country behind this effort, it is still a very long shot.

Many are already seeing the devastating effects of ObamaCare, just ask any physician. Or, any elderly patient trying to get care.

RPOF Email Blasts Rick Scott

RPOF Email Blasts Rick Scott

Editor’s Note – Why can’t the Republican Party of Florida just leave well enough alone!?

This statement by RPOF Chairman John Thrasher is an outright endorsement of Bill McCollum. Like him or not, Rick Scott is a legitimate Republican candidate that deserves the same respect as McCollum, no more and no less.

And, after repeated calls by the people of this state for the Party to stay out of the primaries, and all the lip service from them affirming just that, we have this.

A very sad reflection on American citizens, and an even sadder reflection on the education system in this country. Granted, the video is funny, but this is nothing to laugh about.

This Day In History; July 5

The Olive Branch Petition was adopted by the Continental Congress on July 5, 1775 in an attempt to avoid a full-blown war with Great Britain. The petition affirmed American loyalty to Great Britain and entreated the king to prevent further conflict.

The petition was rejected, and in August 1775 the colonies were formally declared in rebellion by the Proclamation of Rebellion.

War On Women Can Be Fought At The Polls

By Kim Carroll

Women have the power. They take their right to vote seriously and show up at the polls in greater numbers than men according to the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University.

In 2008, 60.4 percent of eligible female voters cast their vote versus 55.7% of eligible males. According to the same study, more women are registered to vote than men, 66.6 million versus 63.5 million. Maybe that’s why the “War on Women” has taken a front seat in this election…

The Interest Bomb Is Ticking

By: George Noga

This post kicks off a three-part series about the crisis of spending, debt and deficits.

The next part deals with the interval between now and the inevitable arrival of the Minsky Moment, i.e. the unknown and unknowable time when an unsustainable economic phenomenon suddenly collapses.

The third post will address Gotterdammerung, or what happens after the Minsky Moment.

Is Mack Campaign Getting Desperate?

By Tom Tillison

It’s a fair guess that Connie Mack has seen some recent polling that has gotten his attention.

As the week closed out, the rhetoric coming from the Mack campaign took on a rather fervent pitch. In a press release sent out Thursday, it made the claim that opponent George LeMieux has “endorsed raising Florida’s sales tax to a nation-leading 16 percent.”

Obama’s IPAB Death Panels Limit More Than Just Health Care Access

By L. Persona

Florida Democrats believe they can win a few Republican seats in Congress and are preparing a major offensive against several Republicans facing tough challenges this year. They believe that redistricting gives them a chance to offset the seats they are sure to give up.

However, the Democrats still fail to realize the albatross that ObamaCare places on their party’s efforts…

A Black Guy At The Dallas, TX Tea Party Rally

By Lloyd Marcus

A big well dressed black guy attended the Dallas, TX tea party rally with his white buddy. Both men missed my singing performance on stage minutes earlier.

I asked the black gentleman who had an impressive physique how often he worked out. He replied, “Everyday.” His white buddy said with a chuckle, “He thinks the Tea Party is racist.”
