Who’s Ornery?

By Rob Reilly

I’ve always had a certain degree of difficulty getting in line and “respecting” authority.

Hello…I’m a consultant and Conservative political commentator.

I can put up with make-work work and political maneuvering, for only so long. At some point, I get impatient, distracted, or just plain bored, and shoot off on my own course…

Bitter In The Left Lane

By Rob Reilly

The past week’s coverage of Liberals-behaving-badly illustrates the true nature of the insidious threat their ideologies pose to America.

It’s not just the Feds that practice a never ending tirade of hate and constant campaigning to wreck America. Common, run-of-the-mill Liberals frequently misinterpret the concept of a civil society, as well.

Hood-Wink, Redirect, Spend…Repeat

By Rob Reilly

You have got to be kidding me.

CBS just posted the headline “Al Qaeda Planning Holiday Attacks in West”. Drudge has it dead center in the middle of his page.

Don’t you find it incredibly coincidental that a big, scary story like this, magically materializes, mere moments after the Democrat-controlled Senate pushed through a vote on the Omnibus bill.

High School Football America

High School Football America

The first high school game is an absolute rite of passage for any red-blooded American teenager. Not soccer. Not cricket. Not interpretive dance. Good old in-the-mud high school football.

There’s a reason why the same Friday night tradition continues to be played out across America, year after year after year.

The courage, prosperity, and promise characterized by high school football is a metaphor for what we call the American Way.

The Big Boot

The Big Boot

The reshuffling of Congress, along with the ever expanding strength of Tea Party candidates, will throw a big wrench into the continued destruction of the American Way by establishment politicians.

Thinking about how to write a 1000+ page bill will be the last thing on their little minds. They won’t be jockeying around for committee chairmanships, assignments, or where they are in the pecking order. They’ll be trying to figure out what they’ll do with all that free time on their hands, come January.

Clown Proofing Free Speech

Clown Proofing Free Speech

I have no intention of giving up my freedom of speech. Or my opinions. I also will not give up my right to keep and bear arms.

By the way, I will not be converting to Islam, either. My religious views are my business. They’re not idiotic authoritarian state business, not some ridiculous foreign law proclamation business, not moronic United Nations resolution business. They are mine and mine alone.

You’re free to talk about your religion, politics, or ideology. That doesn’t mean I have to listen. Do not try to impose your beliefs on me.

War On Women Can Be Fought At The Polls

War On Women Can Be Fought At The Polls

By Kim Carroll

Women have the power. They take their right to vote seriously and show up at the polls in greater numbers than men according to the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University.

In 2008, 60.4 percent of eligible female voters cast their vote versus 55.7% of eligible males. According to the same study, more women are registered to vote than men, 66.6 million versus 63.5 million. Maybe that’s why the “War on Women” has taken a front seat in this election…

The Interest Bomb Is Ticking

By: George Noga

This post kicks off a three-part series about the crisis of spending, debt and deficits.

The next part deals with the interval between now and the inevitable arrival of the Minsky Moment, i.e. the unknown and unknowable time when an unsustainable economic phenomenon suddenly collapses.

The third post will address Gotterdammerung, or what happens after the Minsky Moment.

Is Mack Campaign Getting Desperate?

By Tom Tillison

It’s a fair guess that Connie Mack has seen some recent polling that has gotten his attention.

As the week closed out, the rhetoric coming from the Mack campaign took on a rather fervent pitch. In a press release sent out Thursday, it made the claim that opponent George LeMieux has “endorsed raising Florida’s sales tax to a nation-leading 16 percent.”

Obama’s IPAB Death Panels Limit More Than Just Health Care Access

By L. Persona

Florida Democrats believe they can win a few Republican seats in Congress and are preparing a major offensive against several Republicans facing tough challenges this year. They believe that redistricting gives them a chance to offset the seats they are sure to give up.

However, the Democrats still fail to realize the albatross that ObamaCare places on their party’s efforts…

A Black Guy At The Dallas, TX Tea Party Rally

By Lloyd Marcus

A big well dressed black guy attended the Dallas, TX tea party rally with his white buddy. Both men missed my singing performance on stage minutes earlier.

I asked the black gentleman who had an impressive physique how often he worked out. He replied, “Everyday.” His white buddy said with a chuckle, “He thinks the Tea Party is racist.”
