Young Conservative Becomes Alternate Delegate
2012 Republican National Convention
“Alejandro Capote demonstrates the purpose of my Institute’s training: to produce a new generation of conservative leaders and activists,” said Morton Blackwell, president and founder of the Leadership Institute.
I want to express my sincere appreciation to the members of the State Republican Executive Committee who sit on the Congressional District 2 Caucus (CD2), which met today, and elected me the first Alternate Delegate to the 2012 Republican National Convention. It’s humbling that my work as a regular grassroots activist working in local, state and national campaigns was recognized by State Executive Committee members. To those State Committeemen and Committeewomen who voted for me I say from the bottom of my heart- THANK YOU!
Today’s vote is a recognition of the importance of the activist youth vote in the Republican Party of Florida. It is my pledge to use this great honor to encourage more and more young people to get involved in the Conservative Movement!
