Pelosi; ‘Occupy Wall St’ Crowd Represents 99% Of America *[Viewer Warning]

October 12, 2011 Opinion 5 Comments

By Linda O’Keefe

Earlier this week, on ABC’s “This Week” with Christiane Amanpour, Nancy Pelosi criticized GOP leader Eric Cantor for expressing his concern for the mob-like uprising called Occupy Wall Street.

“I didn’t hear him (Eric Cantor) say anything when the Tea Party was out actually spitting on members of Congress,” Pelosi said, referring to an event that is totally unsubstantiated.

On the day that the House Democrats passed ObamaCare, then-speaker Nancy Pelosi chose to walk through the outside protest on her way to the Capitol building. This was highly unnecessary given most members of Congress use the less crowded underground tunnel.

With many videos of the crowd available, the only “spitting” incident that is documented is when a protestor was shouting and a bit of saliva projected from his mouth. However, that this saliva actually landed on a congress member, let alone “members,” is disputable.

I also would like to point out that Christiane Amanpour neglects to call Nancy Pelosi to the carpet on this inconvenient fact.

I happened to be in this crowd with my son who was 9 at the time when this went down. Like  Pelosi says, Republicans did come out to the balcony to wave to us and cheer us on. In fact at one point, I recall Republican leaders draping the American flag over the balcony and the crowd singing “God Bless America”.

A far cry from the defacing of the American flag that Occupy Movement has done.

Another relevant fact is that the New York Police Department has arrested 700 Occupy Protestors who were trying to shut down the Brooklyn Bridge. This does not stop Nancy Pelosi from calling for God’s “blessings” on these protestors.

On the other hand, Pelosi has had harsh words for the Tea Party, which by the way, has never had one arrest at any of the thousands of rallies that have taken place over its 2-1/2 years span.

Let’s recall her attack on the Tea Party… here is where Nancy Pelosi accused those who objected to ObamaCare of wearing swastikas to town halls (no evidence);

This is where Nancy Pelosi shed a tear because she thinks tea party organizers are inciting violence.

While attacking the so-called radicals of the Tea Party as racists and terrorists, the Democrat Leaders are embracing this Occupy Wall Street Movement.

They tell us this movement represents 99% of Americans, however the pictures of this movement that are coming in beg to differ.

And, please note that while the sign in the foreground may be offensive, the sign that should cause Americans to pause is the one that says “PRIVATE OWNERSHIP OF INDUSTRY IS THEFT”.

The truth is that the Occupation Movement is a movement that is anti-private property and pro-statist. It is no surprise that a leader in the Iran Revolutionary Guard endorsed this movement (and it did yesterday).

I would suspect this socialist movement warms the heart of Venezuela Dictator Hugo Chavez, as well.

As DNC chairman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz says the “democrats own the economy”, it can also be said that the democrats own this Occupation Movement. In fact, last night the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) sent out the “I stand with Occupy Wall Street” petition.

Look out guys, the Democrat Party with Obama as its community organizer-in-chief, has nothing else to campaign on but class warfare and their goal is to occupy our cities across the United States.

This is going to get worse.

As I pointed out in a blog this morning, the Dems may find themselves on very thin Ice… Virtually nothing the Occupiers want fit’s in the framework of the Constitution.

This video came from the Protest in LA…

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=qlPY9AfQFqI

The speaker is saying the Occupiers Revolution will be bloody.. like the French Revolution

When members of Congress start supporting groups who are discussing killing Americans as the best and only way to destroy our Constitutional Government, the ice gets very thin …

Wake up America…. our Freedom is at stake here…. Nancy is a joke ,,,,, Its a REPUBLIC !!!! Can we keep it?

  3. Bradenton Bill says:

During the past twenty day or so it has been well documented that these people joining the Wall Street protest are unable or unwilling to use their ability to think for themselves. They are being led by the well known communist Van Jones. Most of the people in the protest are just bums or stupid people. The press loves it. It is like a Woodstock concert without music.

  4. Lorraine OByrne says:

I think Ms. O’Keefe describes well the lies and hatred that come from Nancy Pelosi. The Tea Party Movement in America is a successful organization of U.S. citizens that are sick and tired of big government and politics as usual. The Tea Party is rebelling against the Obama Administration because it is the worst administration in the history of the U.S. The protesters on Wall St. have no idea what their common thread is, nor do they understand American business, government and the separation of the two. Do these protesters have cell phones, and iPods? Where do they think those came from? Thanks Ms. O’Keefe for portraying Nancy Pelosi as the liar and phony that she is.

  5. CB says:

When did a Tea Party member spit on a congressman? It never happened!

War On Women Can Be Fought At The Polls

By Kim Carroll

Women have the power. They take their right to vote seriously and show up at the polls in greater numbers than men according to the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University.

In 2008, 60.4 percent of eligible female voters cast their vote versus 55.7% of eligible males. According to the same study, more women are registered to vote than men, 66.6 million versus 63.5 million. Maybe that’s why the “War on Women” has taken a front seat in this election…

By: George Noga

This post kicks off a three-part series about the crisis of spending, debt and deficits.

The next part deals with the interval between now and the inevitable arrival of the Minsky Moment, i.e. the unknown and unknowable time when an unsustainable economic phenomenon suddenly collapses.

The third post will address Gotterdammerung, or what happens after the Minsky Moment.

Is Mack Campaign Getting Desperate?

By Tom Tillison

It’s a fair guess that Connie Mack has seen some recent polling that has gotten his attention.

As the week closed out, the rhetoric coming from the Mack campaign took on a rather fervent pitch. In a press release sent out Thursday, it made the claim that opponent George LeMieux has “endorsed raising Florida’s sales tax to a nation-leading 16 percent.”

Obama’s IPAB Death Panels Limit More Than Just Health Care Access

By L. Persona

Florida Democrats believe they can win a few Republican seats in Congress and are preparing a major offensive against several Republicans facing tough challenges this year. They believe that redistricting gives them a chance to offset the seats they are sure to give up.

However, the Democrats still fail to realize the albatross that ObamaCare places on their party’s efforts…

A Black Guy At The Dallas, TX Tea Party Rally

By Lloyd Marcus

A big well dressed black guy attended the Dallas, TX tea party rally with his white buddy. Both men missed my singing performance on stage minutes earlier.

I asked the black gentleman who had an impressive physique how often he worked out. He replied, “Everyday.” His white buddy said with a chuckle, “He thinks the Tea Party is racist.”
