In what can only be seen as a gutsy move, noted political pundit and Fox News contributor Dick Morris, upon learning that a very energetic protest was taking place outside a Education Revolution forum taking place in Orlando, FL, decided to go out and engage with the unruly crowd.

As captured in the exclusive video below, Morris and nationally syndicated radio talk show host Mike Gallagher, who were participating in the evening’s forum, proceed to wade out into the middle of the unfriendly crowd, which was not overly receptive to the surprise appearance.

After one protestor refers to him as the “devil” and others refuse to shake his hand, Mr. Morris proceeds to extend an invitation to give a chosen representative of the group an opportunity to speak at the evening’s forum.

BTW, the blond woman with a scarf around her neck is Susannah Randolph, Alan Grayson’s campaign manager during the 2010 election.  Obviously, good judgement is not her forte.

Tom quickly established himself as an integral part of the tea party movement in Orlando. He's known for his laid back style and intensity of opinion, which he prefers sharing in open parking lots with plenty of room to pontificate.

  1. Richard Riker says:

I was at the event last night and looked forward to someone from the protesting group standing up and making a case for their point of view. Unfortunately the person the group called their leader used up five minutes of event time saying nothing of substance. His followers in the audience also seemed to lack any true understanding of the event as the young lady who stood up and asked a question on the groups behalf demonstrated. It was obvious from the groups shout outs during the evening they were there to disrupt the event not to have any meaningful dialogue. It was a typical leftist move but happily the speakers nipped it in the bud with grace, wit, and intelligent discourse.

  2. Todd C says:

It was respectful of Dick Morris and the event organizers to give time before the meeting for a representative of the opposition to speak for 5 minutes. There were a couple outbursts from the audience on both sides, however overall, the meeting went well without disruption.

We all should learn how to interact with an opposing view in a civil manner when we are in a group setting even when our emotions are high. I am just as guilty of being passionate in my expression when facing Alan Grayson in my neighborhood. I have been watching the Congressional Rules Committee and have been impressed with how the opposition views have stood their ground, presented their case and kept their cool.

Good analysis, Richard! Wish you would have come up and introduced yourself, I’d have been happy to meet you! The left showed us last night, at least for some, that they’re not interested in civility. I’m also glad to hear that I’m not the only one who felt the gentleman who was given the opportunity to address the gathering said nothing of substance.

  6. Eileen says:

You and Riker are commending the flip-flopping Morris, yet when the tea party leaders in the political tea party showed up at your one and only news conference, you and your gang denounced them.
    A little flip/flop here?

  7. kathy says:

Where is the video of the presentation? It played out well despite the distraction. Mr. Reed was very informative. Don’t let the protesters undermine the information given by these panel members that where devoting their time and expertise.

  8. Albert Einstein says:

Thanks to Dick Morris and Mr Gallagher for trying to help children in the education process.

Thank you also too for the protestors who entertained me this morning as I watched the video. You can’t help but laugh but at the same time you do realize how warped some peoples views really are.

They were protesting something they had no clue about…….but that is nothing new for the left.

  9. Richard Riker says:

Eileen, I hope your don’t think the fake political TEA Party has anything to do with the real tea parties. Guetzloes fake party was formed for no other reason than to use the tea party name for his own personal aggrandisement. He and his cronies pay nothing but lip service to the values the real tea parties stand for.

  10. [...] that civility thing isn’t going so well. Dick Morris and radio talk show host Mike Gallagher decided to take on some lefties outside an Orlando event they were appearing at.  It didn’t go so well as one protester [...]

  11. Kudos to Tom T, Dick M. Mike G et al for bringing up the idea of changing what’s going on in our schools/as a 30 yr veteran of the public school system, believe me, I say things need to change/ this is just a prelude to March when Gov. Scott and our GOP legislators try to change things/watch the fireworks/those unions will fight any change to a system that is great for adults, but not for our children/great work/hang in there and wait for March!

  12. Velocity Patriot says:

Great video by Oculus Omnis. Glad to be able to see what happened for those of us who could not be there. Great job and thanks for sharing.

War On Women Can Be Fought At The Polls

By Kim Carroll

Women have the power. They take their right to vote seriously and show up at the polls in greater numbers than men according to the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University.

In 2008, 60.4 percent of eligible female voters cast their vote versus 55.7% of eligible males. According to the same study, more women are registered to vote than men, 66.6 million versus 63.5 million. Maybe that’s why the “War on Women” has taken a front seat in this election…

The Interest Bomb Is Ticking

By: George Noga

This post kicks off a three-part series about the crisis of spending, debt and deficits.

The next part deals with the interval between now and the inevitable arrival of the Minsky Moment, i.e. the unknown and unknowable time when an unsustainable economic phenomenon suddenly collapses.

The third post will address Gotterdammerung, or what happens after the Minsky Moment.

Is Mack Campaign Getting Desperate?

By Tom Tillison

It’s a fair guess that Connie Mack has seen some recent polling that has gotten his attention.

As the week closed out, the rhetoric coming from the Mack campaign took on a rather fervent pitch. In a press release sent out Thursday, it made the claim that opponent George LeMieux has “endorsed raising Florida’s sales tax to a nation-leading 16 percent.”

Obama’s IPAB Death Panels Limit More Than Just Health Care Access

By L. Persona

Florida Democrats believe they can win a few Republican seats in Congress and are preparing a major offensive against several Republicans facing tough challenges this year. They believe that redistricting gives them a chance to offset the seats they are sure to give up.

However, the Democrats still fail to realize the albatross that ObamaCare places on their party’s efforts…

A Black Guy At The Dallas, TX Tea Party Rally

By Lloyd Marcus

A big well dressed black guy attended the Dallas, TX tea party rally with his white buddy. Both men missed my singing performance on stage minutes earlier.

I asked the black gentleman who had an impressive physique how often he worked out. He replied, “Everyday.” His white buddy said with a chuckle, “He thinks the Tea Party is racist.”
