All Six Primary Contenders Endorse Daniel Webster

ORLANDO, FL – One week ago, Daniel Webster won the Republican nomination for Congress in Florida’s 8th Congressional District.  Today, Daniel Webster announces the unanimous endorsement of all six of his primary election opponents.  At a unity rally Monday, Todd Long, Bruce O’Donoghue, Kurt Kelly, Patricia Sullivan, Dan Fanelli, and Ross Bieling all gave their nod to supporting Daniel Webster in the general election.

“It is essential that we defeat liberal Alan Grayson this November,” said Kurt Kelly.  “Alan Grayson is an embarrassment to Central Florida. We need a leader we can respect like Daniel Webster.”

Todd Long stated, “I’m excited to support the candidacy of a true public servant, Daniel Webster.  Senator Webster is a man we can trust to fight for our conservative principles in Washington.”

“The Tea Party movement has fought for fiscal responsibility, limited government and free markets.  I know Senator Webster will also fight for these values and he has my full support,” explained Patricia Sullivan.

“Congress is in desperate need of a businessman like Daniel Webster.  He understands how to create jobs and grow our economy,” said Bruce O’Donoghue.  “Daniel Webster will make an awesome Congressman.”

Webster concluded, “I’m honored to have the unanimous support of all six of my former opponents.  Their evident patriotism and love for our country is a reflection of America’s rising concern over the direction of our nation. I look forward to working with them as we seek to truly represent District 8.”

Daniel Webster, a family man and small-business owner, has dedicated himself to serve the citizens of central Florida with honor and integrity. Daniel Webster served as Majority Leader of the Florida Senate and the first GOP Speaker of the House in over a century.

Daniel Webster has been endorsed by the National Rifle Association, the American Conservative Union, the House Conservatives Fund, Governor Jeb Bush, Governor Mike Huckabee, Governor Bob Martinez, US Senator George LeMieux, US Senator Connie Mack, Agriculture Commissioner Charles Bronson, former Comptroller Bob Milligan, former Chief Financial Officer Tom Gallagher, former Secretary of State Sandra Mortham, Orange County Mayor Rich Crotty, Orange County Clerk of Court Lydia Gardner, Orange County Property Appraiser Bill Donegan, Orange County Commissioner Fred Brummer, Orange County School Board Member Christine Moore, former RPOF Chairman Tom Slade, former Senate President Ken Pruitt, former RPOF Chairman Van Poole, former Senate President Tom Lee, former Speaker Tom Feeney, former Senate President John McKay, former Speaker Allan Bense, and former Senate President Jim Scott.

Tom I have the video from that event. I’ll try to get it posted on YouTube this evening. I see the local media gave more air time to McCollum’s sour grapes than to Scott’s message so where possible we’ll try to balance the scales.

  2. Todd C says:

I supported Patricia Sullivan during the primary because she best represents what I value in a candidate. She has run a class act campaign on a shoe string. Her Patriot Army worked diligently in the middle of District 8 (Eustis, Leesburg, Mount Dora, Tavares, The Villages). The sweat equity was to be commended.

We are excited to support and endorse Daniel Webster, a true Statesman, as the Republican candidate and the Now Tea Party Movement Supported candidate for FL-District 8.

  3. Florida Cracker Jack says:

The six candidates who also ran in district 8 are to be saluted. Alan Grayson and the liberal agenda are to be commended for waking up Americans to the issues of the day. So to Grayson, Obama, Reed, and Pelosi…thank you. You have helped many tea parties organize and motivated many Americans to get involved. Their agenda is like a fresh cup of coffee to wake up Americans who believe in American principles.

Daniel Webster is a warrior and not a political opportunist like Guetzloe and the Florida (political) TEA party. A vote for TEA is a vote for GRAYSON.

  4. Allen Wilson says:

A day late but here it is – District 8 candidates stand together to defeat Grayson.

War On Women Can Be Fought At The Polls

By Kim Carroll

Women have the power. They take their right to vote seriously and show up at the polls in greater numbers than men according to the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University.

In 2008, 60.4 percent of eligible female voters cast their vote versus 55.7% of eligible males. According to the same study, more women are registered to vote than men, 66.6 million versus 63.5 million. Maybe that’s why the “War on Women” has taken a front seat in this election…

The Interest Bomb Is Ticking

By: George Noga

This post kicks off a three-part series about the crisis of spending, debt and deficits.

The next part deals with the interval between now and the inevitable arrival of the Minsky Moment, i.e. the unknown and unknowable time when an unsustainable economic phenomenon suddenly collapses.

The third post will address Gotterdammerung, or what happens after the Minsky Moment.

Is Mack Campaign Getting Desperate?

By Tom Tillison

It’s a fair guess that Connie Mack has seen some recent polling that has gotten his attention.

As the week closed out, the rhetoric coming from the Mack campaign took on a rather fervent pitch. In a press release sent out Thursday, it made the claim that opponent George LeMieux has “endorsed raising Florida’s sales tax to a nation-leading 16 percent.”

Obama’s IPAB Death Panels Limit More Than Just Health Care Access

By L. Persona

Florida Democrats believe they can win a few Republican seats in Congress and are preparing a major offensive against several Republicans facing tough challenges this year. They believe that redistricting gives them a chance to offset the seats they are sure to give up.

However, the Democrats still fail to realize the albatross that ObamaCare places on their party’s efforts…

A Black Guy At The Dallas, TX Tea Party Rally

By Lloyd Marcus

A big well dressed black guy attended the Dallas, TX tea party rally with his white buddy. Both men missed my singing performance on stage minutes earlier.

I asked the black gentleman who had an impressive physique how often he worked out. He replied, “Everyday.” His white buddy said with a chuckle, “He thinks the Tea Party is racist.”
