How Will The Media Report Discovery Channel Terrorist (A Guy Who Made Michael Moore Look Radical Right)?

It’s always a tragedy when someone dies, no matter what the circumstances. As someone who values life, even the lives of people I disagree with, I was saddened to hear that the eco-terrorist who took hostages in the Discovery Channel building and ended up losing his life.
Here’s the irony: James Jay Lee had absolutely no respect for human life. And it cost him his own.
Lee was a radical leftist environmentalist convinced that in order to save the planet, humans must be exterminated by eliminating all reproduction. I kid you not. He may be the only person on this green planet to the left of Michael Moore. Here are a sample of his demands he made of the Discovery Channel while taking hostages inside their building:
“All programs on Discovery Health-TLC must stop encouraging the birth of any more parasitic human infants and the false heroics behind those actions. In those programs’ places, programs encouraging human sterilization and infertility must be pushed. All former pro-birth programs must now push in the direction of stopping human birth, not encouraging it.”
“Humans are the most destructive, filthy, pollutive creatures around and are wrecking what’s left of the planet with their false morals and breeding culture.”
“Civilization must be exposed for the filth it is. That, and all its disgusting religious-cultural roots and greed. Broadcast this message until the pollution in the planet is reversed and the human population goes down!”
“Find solutions for Global Warming, Automotive pollution, International Trade, factory pollution, and the whole blasted human economy. Find ways so that people don’t build more housing pollution which destroys the environment to make way for more human filth! Find solutions so that people stop breeding as well as stopping using Oil in order to REVERSE Global warming and the destruction of the planet!”
“Develop shows that mention the Malthusian sciences about how food production leads to the overpopulation of the Human race. Talk about Evolution. Talk about Malthus and Darwin until it sinks into the stupid people’s brains until they get it!!”
“Saving the Planet means saving what’s left of the non-human Wildlife by decreasing the Human population. That means stopping the human race from breeding any more disgusting human babies! You’re the media, you can reach enough people. It’s your resposibility because you reach so many minds!!!”
Okay, media, you heard him. How are you going to report this? Are you going to exalt or downplay his extremist views? Perhaps make him a folk hero for touting radical environmentalism? Or are you just going to mention that some random guy got fed up and stormed the Discovery Channel building?
The sad thing is that gunman Lee didn’t need to lose his life over these demands. The entire mainstream media agrees with his philosophy wholeheartedly and touts this radical agenda daily. My prediction is that Lee will ultimately become a hero in the main stream media.
UPDATES:
- CNN is reporting Lee’s actions were directly related to watching Al Gore’s “An Inconvienent Truth”, which inspired him to do more to save the planet (PS – props to CNN for not hiding his views).
- The Huffington Post felt it necessary to clear author Daniel Quinn’s name at the end of their report. Quinn wrote a book which inspired Lee along with Gore’s masterpiece.
