I hate to pop your bubble- but Patricia Sullivan is running anything but an ethical campaign. She could not answer why she took money Dan Fanelli for a booth spot at a TeaParty event and then she denied him from speaking. So wrong to deny a true veteran and patriot the right to speak!
Oh- what about when Dan Fanelli did a video and then Patricia Sullivan’s name appeared on the video Dan created. There should be an investigation on stealing another candidate’s material. Truly- she could not answer the question, without raising her voice to the level of frustration and irritation.

Haha Eric, you are so right. It proves that Patricia Sullivan has a ton of people on the internet that will vote for her in some poll. I have heard that many of her army members do not even live in the district. She has been faring poorly in straw polls recently. Those are the true judge. Kurt Kelly has won six and is the true frontrunner in this race.

Patricia Sullivan is the only candidate in this race who has the courage, conviction, and character to beat Al Grayson. Your belief that a career politician of 28 years, or a wanna-be politician who votes for Sun Rail against his constituents wishes, or a millionaire who tries to stiffs the IRS , or a person who writes a book he think should qualify him for office, or a person whose only claim is he can fly an airplane are better qualified shows me that you are the same old politics as usual crowd. You just don’t get it, this is the year of the citizen politician, the kind of politician the founding fathers had in mind. This is not a popularity contest or a contest that will be decided with straw polls(the name straw describes just how weak such polls are), this is serious business and so far , unlike the other candidates running who seem to have personal agendas, Patricia Sulllivan is the only candidate running who wants to serve the people.
As one “patriot veteran” to another, Dan Fanelli should stop whining about not being allowed to speak at an event organized by Sullivan, or that an independent producer making a video of a performer (not Sullivan), edited out Fanelli’s signs from his commercial video. Get some real issues and discuss them, Dan, and stop whining about Patricia’s event when you haven’t even created one of your own.

It’s no surprise that Pat Sullivan was on top of this poll. She has all the right credentials to lead the people’s historic patriotic comeback election in 2010. Come November, civility and honor will be restored to the District 8 congressional seat.
Patricia Sullivan helped organize a Tea Party Rally on April 15, 2009. Patricia and others spoke out against the radical Obama agenda. She has held other rallies, most recently one in support of Arizona and it’s immigration policies. Mr. Fanelli could have organized Tea Party rallies as well, we would have welcomed that, since we need all the help we can get “on the ground” against Obama’s policies. Patricia has so many supporters because she is a PATRIOT, not a politician.

The Booth fees were advertised and paid by all groups in attendance to the North Lake Tea Party. These funds paid for the staging and sound equipment. Did Dan pay his booth fee directly to Patricia? If he did then why does he not make an official statement of such fact? Because he can not, this allegation is completely FALSE and Defamatory. You should be more careful about your allegations and be sure they are factual before making any such statements. Did not Dan pay $ for his booth at the Orange County Young Republican’s Hobnob? Are you going to allege wrongdoing by the OCYR group as well?

Will a Sullivan supporter please tell me what she has accomplished or what private sector experience she has that qualifies her for US Congress? I am very serious. Please tell me about her resume. The only thing I am aware of is she started a 4h club.
I am afraid of Patricia Sullivan because I fear a similar situation to what happened in Nevada when Sharon Angle won, she lost a lot of the moderates and Harry Reid is now ahead in the polls. Now we would not want another two years of Alan Grayson again, would we? I do not think that Patricia has a shot.
And my candidate, is not Peg Dunmire, I am a proud conservative Republican who will support whoever wins this primary, whoever it is.
To those of you that think Patricia Sullivan is a lightweight in this political race, Think again, don’t under estimate her because she won’t stoop to your level. Patricia is a true Patriot that hears what the people want and need. I am sure if you looked into what Patricia stands for you would feel that she is more than qualified to go to Washington, however don’t expect her to lower herself to your level with name calling and smears, Patricia is an honest broker and will deliver for her constituents.

I fear that with what Sullivan did to Fanelli she may have organized the Tea Party for her own political gain. It is very convenient that she formed it the year she decided to launch her career in politics. If she formed it for the right reasons she would have invited Dan to speak. By the way it’s not her event it’s the Tea Party’s event. If she wants to monopolize the Tea Party then she should run as Tea Party with Peg Dunmire.

And what about the people that have helped our country. George Bush went to Yale. Ronald Reagan was well educated. In order to grasp and handle the issues that grasp our nation, our next Congressperson must be well-educated in order to help our nation. I do not think that Patricia Sullivan has this education, nor does she demonstrate that she has been able to learn about the issues and how to handle them properly. This has been very clear at the candidate forums.

@ No to Sullivan – you ask for credentials well here you go……a little known fact is that Patricia IS a successful former Home Business Owner, she was a Sales Superstar earning numerous sales awards, even having a sales award named for her. Patricia also became a regional leader and trainer within her organization, often training 50 – 100 associates in business concepts and strategy, marketing and networking, and sales and customer service to name a few.
I personally have witnessed Patricia’s abilities to manage a budget in times of limited resources, utilize critical thinking to problem solve and mediate differences between parties, employ creativity and think outside the box or utilize a methodical and process based approach when necessary.
As far as her ability to organize, motivate, negotiate, and coach individuals to educate thought and engage them into action I hold up her grass roots campaign and her “Patriot Army” of over 400 strong as evidence enough. In addition to her numerous efforts to support the Lake County community through her hard work and dedication to the 4-H organization, her founding and directing of the Lake County 4-H Foundation, and her efforts with the “Ribs for Kids” campaign, Patricia has instilled this same dedication to “Service” in her family; her eldest daughter founded and leads the highly successful “Peanut Butter POP” campaign and is a leader with “Teen PAC” traveling throughout America teaching our youth.
As for Patricia’s strength and fortitude to stand strong in the face of adversity, I hold as evidence her ability to recognize early on in 2009 the destructive direction our current administration was heading, to seek out and stand with like minded individuals, speak out, take action and Co-Found the North Lake Tea Party. She did not sit on the sidelines and wait to assess the direction of the wind, looking up “in the fall and realizing that our country is really at a cross roads” to decide to do something. I find it a rare quality to successfully stand up for one’s morals and ethics to a sitting Congressman, getting them to back down as Patricia has already achieved with Uber-Liberal Alan Grayson.
On the issues, in my hours of research on all the Republican Candidates in this 8th Congressional race, Patricia is the only candidate whom has published Issue Statements which contain more than rhetoric, double speak, or the so called “buzz words”. I am now hearing several of her competitors using Patricia’s ideas and words in their forum responses.
Patricia has and continues to speak intelligently, with a deep understanding, willingness to learn, debate, and engage the voters, her fellow candidates, business professionals, other political figureheads, and the public in thoughtful discourse winning their support every day. Her issues statements also go well beyond a carefully crafted editorial statement; they are video clips from actual speaking engagements or candidate forums.

I find it interesting that your allege Patricia Sullivan formed the Tea Party for political gain. As the Co-Founder of a group formed in March of 2009 after Patricia’s involvement and study beginning earlier in 2009 was out of desire for political gain. Patricia was approached by various Tea Party Movement members asking her to run for Congress. After careful deliberation, prayer, family consult, and community support Patricia announced her candidacy. How Ironic that Dan states he was the First to announce when he questioned Patricia about her interest learning of her deliberations and he suddenly announces his candidacy late in 2009. Why was he not involved early in 2009 as Patricia was, what was he waiting for?
As for your continued banter about Dan not speaking – the North Lake Tea Party Co-Founder has responded to this ludicrous allegation stating that the speakers were chosen because of their ICaucus Endorsement, one other speaker was in the vetting process. I find it interesting that Dan refused to be vetted by his fellow Citizens, the ICaucus organization and has failed to respond to the Abigail Adams Project.org a non-partisan citizen organization providing a community service by developing a Non-Partisan Voter Guide. Politics as usual…ugly mudslinging. Those who know Patricia know that none of the accusations are true. Clearly they are evidence of fear. For example, I happened to have been witness to the fact that Patricia organized the Tea Party event BEFORE she considered running. I happen to KNOW that following the event she was asked to run and she requested prayer that God would help her and her delightful family to make the right choice. Making wild accusations does not make you right. It just kind of makes you seem pathetic. Please take your sour grapes somewhere else. Nobody wants to hear it. Congratulations Patricia! Since none of the other candidates in District 8 were listed on the poll, it’s results are meaningless. Let’s hope that Patricia Sullivan can make the best use of her “win” by generating a few more campaign donations.
Perhaps it is time for the candidates to all donate enough money to pay a professional pollster to run a REAL poll with scientific results… I am fed up with the straw polls and web-based polls that mean absolutely NOTHING!

Anyone who hears the candidates speak comes away knowing that Patricia Sullivan is the one candidate who understands the District, so that in itself reinforces the fact that straw polls are an indication of nothing. Starting next week the ultimate pollsters will begin to decide who the Republican candidate should be, early voting begins and by Aug. 24th we should know just how many more votes PATRICIA SULLIVAN has generated over her opponents in her Primary win.
