The Lady Takes A Stand

By Allen Wilson

We are truly blessed to have strong candidates for Congress in the upcoming elections. Reading a quote from this outspoken lady, I was immediately impressed with her willingness to take on the issues and, if necessary, her own party on the behalf of her constituents.

Though I don’t agree with everything she represents I can certainly agree with her words,

“Barack Obama is a threat to the continued existence of the United States, and he must be impeached, or resign. The real question is, what will we replace his bad policies with? Real patriots understand the need to think ahead, to create a meaningful purpose and direction as we rebuild our nation. We know that the next several generations need a better world to live in, which can only be a Post-Obama World.”

She doesn’t have a large campaign fund. In fact, she doesn’t have the financial support of her party. She showed her understanding of the reality of her fight in a statement to the printed press saying,

“I was knocking on doors everywhere — everyone knew my positions. I don’t think the Party leadership is getting it. The people continue to see more and more economic devastation and they don’t see any real leadership.”

Standing on a street corner almost every day with her campaign sign and running a vigorous person to person campaign, this candidate will not boast of a large campaign war chest to fight her opponents. Her focus is on the people of her district, not the media or special interests.

You may feel kinship to these thoughts or feel rising personal and patriotic support for her campaign. But, if you are a resident of Central Florida you won’t be able to vote for her because these are the words of Kesha Rogers the Democratic candidate for Congress in the 22nd District of Texas, who won her primary with 53% of the vote against two rivals at 28% and 20%. It is sobering to think that compared to Alvin Greene in South Carolina, she ran a high profile campaign.

There is a message in this story that is abundantly clear and undeniably simple, a message that most Americans have indelibly etched on their souls. It is a message that was delivered on the afternoon of Thursday, November 19, 1863 in the closing phrase of some short remarks by a great American, “that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.”

Of Condoms And Coppertone, Or Maternity And Melanoma

By David Folsom

Much energy has been expended in the past few weeks regarding the Obama/Sebelius mandate that religious groups cover the full cost of contraceptives.

The administration came out with their version of “compromise” allowing the religious groups themselves exemption, but mandating that their insurers cover the cost. Great example of Democrats’ “compromise.”

‘Evolve Or Die’ Begins With A Heavy Dose Of Reality

Ryan takes a hard hitting approach with Tea Party Express, but doesn’t follow suit with Tea Party Patriots, barely mentions Tea Party Nation, gives FreedomWorks a complete pass and there’s no mention whatsoever of the latest of what seems like an endless line of opportunists, TeaParty.net.

It seems unfair when you consider any one of the above is as detrimental as the other. In each case, don’t look too closely behind the mirror.

On January 29, 2012 the Holocaust Memorial Resource & Education Center of Florida (HMREC) co-hosted an event with Sunni Imam Muhammad Musri of the Islamic Society of Central Florida. The event was; BESA – Albanian Muslim Rescuers During the Holocaust.

Why, The Babies? Why?

In their isolated inside the beltway arrogance, it appears the Obama administration did not anticipate the huge “blow back”, resulting from Obama’s decree that Catholic institutions provide birth control, abortion drugs and other contraceptive services.

This latest attack on the unborn is simply more of the same from Obama. As an Illinois Senator, Obama voted against the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act which authorized hospital staff to…

Hey Sucker, Who Do You Like In The Presidential Primary?

Agendas don’t matter, programs don’t matter, legislation doesn’t matter until our representatives all are abundantly aware that we the people are willing to take control.

Once that fact is firmly ingrained in their psyche then we can get them to govern, to listen, and to act. Until then everything else is just background noise…
